School Excellence Reports Data Notes

Please see notes on the sources and calculation methods for the data contained in the School Excellence Reports below. Many metrics only display when they are relevant to a particular school (e.g. SAT and ACT scores will not display for elementary schools).

Basic Information

Accreditation Year: The official accreditation year of the district (or school in the case of DoDEA Virtual School). In the case of Europe West and DoDEA Virtual School, some accreditation activities were delayed until 2021 due to the pandemic, but retain their official accreditation year of 2020.

Staff by the Numbers

Number of Teachers: The number of teachers is based on the number of teaching positions in the school as recorded in DoDEA’s Manpower Management Tool on 10/3/2022. Positions were categorized as teaching positions by a cross-functional team of HR and Manpower staff based on job description in the DoDEA’s Manpower Management Tool. Each teaching position is counted regardless of whether it was full or part time.
